The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) was transposed into Lithuania law as Law on Accessibility Requirements, with enforcement from 28 June 2025.

Surveillance authority
State Consumer Rights Protection Authority oversees market surveillance and complaint handling in Lithuania.
Maximum penalty
€30,000 — Lithuania sets administrative fines for serious or repeated non-compliance.
Who must comply
- Manufacturers of in-scope products placed on the Lithuania market.
- Importers and distributors with a Lithuania presence.
- Service providers offering covered services (banking, e-commerce, transport, ebooks, audiovisual, e-comms) to Lithuania consumers.
- Micro-enterprises (< 10 employees, < €2 million turnover) are exempt for services only.
Steps to compliance in Lithuania
- Confirm in-scope status under the Lithuania transposition.
- Map your product against EN 301 549 v3.2.1 (WCAG 2.1 AA for web + chapters 5/11/12/13).
- Audit and remediate; pair manual review with automated rule scanning.
- Publish a Lithuania-language EAA accessibility statement (Article 13).
- Maintain technical documentation for market surveillance enquiries from State Consumer Rights Protection Authority.
